  • Saving my strength. But the inversions sound fun. I’ll see y’all (Shanna! Randy?) by the Montford Rec Center before the 5k tonight!

    Shanna, I’ve been thinking about that schedule thingie and I think that at present the best plan is probably to post it online as-is and just add a link to it from the “schedule page.” I can show you how to do this, and then, in the future, when you want to change the schedule all you have to do is overwrite the old schedule with an updated version.

    Congrats to Elizabeth Hake who had a 32# improvement on her deadlift 1RM up from 152# to 184#!! She also improved her shoulder press 1 rep max to 80lbs!

    I am glad I did this…maybe I’m over my OHS aversion? Hahaha. I am in serious need of a rest day. No 5K tonight. Um, my time was 13:00 and something with 40#. 13:23? 13:43? I was too wrecked after the WOD to remember, seeing as 40# was a PR, so why wouldn’t I then go ahead and do 45 reps with that weight. Thanks to everyone for the encouragement at the end.

    Congrats on those DL and press PRs, Elizabeth! Awesome, lady! You are super strong.

    I see how it is. I ask for “Jeremy” for a long time and when I’m finally out of town, it’s the WOD. haha. its all good, though. I definitely got beat up today at Redpoint Crossfit.

  • Hey guys! I ran the Montford Hot August Night 5k yesterday evening as planned (did not see other CrossFitters there… were there any?) and finished with 23:35, 51st overall… not quite a PR (off by 17 seconds) but a heck of a lot better than one year ago, before CrossFit and Paleo Zone, when I weighed about 35 pounds more than I do today (26:00, 85th overall).
