091231 Thursday “Obstacle Course”

Strength/Skill Work: Handstand progressions and/or rope climbing!

We are only open through the noon class today. NO EVENING CLASSES!

Tomorrow is the New Year’s Day WOD/Paleo Potluck/Lectures. Email Shanna (ShannaDuvall@gmail.com) by4pm today if you want to participate in the WOD. We will open the doors at 8:30 and the first wave of the work-out starts at 9:20 followed by two additional heats at 9:45 and 10:10. Otherwise feel free to swing by and hear some great lectures which will get started between 10:30 and 10:45. We look to wrap things up around the noon hour. We will have question/answer session at the end of all the lectures to allow those that have New Year’s Day events to leave as needed. Also, lectures will be videotaped so check back for those to be featured on the website.

    Forgive me, Crossfit Friends, for I have sinned. I drank half a bottle of wine and ate beef stroganoff with sour cream and egg noodles for dinner tonight. I had tomatoes with fresh mozarella as well, made by my 14 year old. It was soooo good. Now I am sipping scotch (Bowmore Islay Single Malt, only because ABC was out of Laphroaig) and watching the Three Stooges Marathon on TV with my husband and 4 kids while baking my Paleo cauliflower recipe for tomorrow’s pot luck. Does that absolve me or do I need to say some kind of Paleo Hail Mary for forgiveness?
    Mea Culpa…sort of, because I’m having a nice time….

    PS. My husband, the Paleo skeptic, asked me exactly how Paleo Man hunted down cauliflower and how Paleo Man figured out how to mix the curry powder I am using for flavoring. Watch out for him. He’s a tricky one.
