Yessssss. What a great way to end the week.
@#$%!!!!!!!!
This was a great WOD. Never done the bear complex before. What could be better than a wod with nothing but lifting sequences? Nothing could be better. And the threat of burpees kept me going, that’s for sure, but it probably made me go lighter on the weights than I should have. Let’s do this one again soon!
Allison, I can tell from your well-articulated, carefully crafted post above that you might not be looking forward to today’s WOD. Unlike me, you probably thought yesterday’s workout with nothing but running was the greatest thing since sliced bread…er, I mean, bacon (sorry, paleo-ites). I saw Thursday’s WOD on the board this morning and fell to my knees in supplication to a higher being that I missed that workout. Fortunately, there’s variety enough to please everyone at one time or another.
Have a great weekend.
Oh, Allison, hahahahaha. I seriously just came to write that exact same thing, and I love the bear complex. Yesssss, it is a great way to end the week if you don’t need to use your arms for the weekend! It is a bad sign when I only get through 5 reps before yelling, “THIS SUCKS!” I don’t know why I bothered because I knew Shanna was just going to say, “Stay positive. One rep at a time.” Well, at least I got 60 squats in, so that will make my ass look better. That is positive.
I did it! And while I wouldn’t call it fun, because that would make me certifiable, it wasn’t exactly the nightmare I thought it would be. Granted, I wasn’t breaking any records with the weight, but one step at a time. I actually went home and tried 5 more reps with a heavier weight just to see if I could . . . and I could. Bear Complex – check!
