Check out a young Sage Burgener and her snappy fast elbows. Coach B address the importance of catching the bar ON THE SHOULDERS. Were your elbows this high today?
As well, you can read a recent post written by Sage at CrossFit Invictus here. She discuss some important points to consider when doing the clean which she explains is not called a squat clean as that does that exist. Confused? All cleans involve a full squat…unless it says what? POWER clean! We (properly many CrossFitters) use squat in the title to clear up confusion, but in the Olympic Lifting World it would just be a clean.

bummed out that my legs are still too sore from that sunday craziness JP and i ventured into and i’m having to intentionally layout today. too bad because this one looks fun!
Is this really a power (squat) clean because it does not say “squat” therefore it is inferred?
“Unless it says what? POWER clean”
I don’t think my elbows could be that high at this point unless one of my great coaches was helping by pushing them up to that level. Just one more goal I have now, that I didn’t use to.
Looking forward to tomorrow morning!!
Tim
Still working through my post-triathlon soreness, I didn’t think I’d make it this morning. Thanks to Lauren & my amazing coaches, I didn’t bail. I appreciate the CFA community more every day for the kind of candid support and inspiration we all provide for each other.
1st time I’ve felt really good through a WOD (even ran) in quite some time—thanks Corey!
Thanks Shanna- you’re awesome… Now I get it
And- her head isn’t jutting out like a turtle!
Oh God with the kittens.. I’ll never have slow elbows again!
