120804 Saturday “Bowen”
On July 28, 2011 , 37 year old Asheville firefighter Captain Jeffery Scott Bowen paid the ultimate sacrifice when he gave his life fighting a fire in a medical high rise building. He was a great friend, leader and mentor. He is survived by his mother Laurel, his wife Stacy, daughters Robin and Sara and son C.J.
3 Rounds of:
7 deadlifts (60-70% of max NTE 275/185lbs)
10 burpee pull-ups
14 single arm KB thrusters (7/arm NTE 53/35lbs)
20 box jumps (NTE 24/20â€³)
(30 minute cap)
The gym opens at 6:45am & the first heat will begin at 7:30am. There will be further heats to begin at the following times. Please arrive 30 minutes before your assigned start time. If you have yet to confirm a start time noted below is potential space in each heat. Please feel free to come out & participate or help out at the event. There will also be some great raffle prizes that have been donated as part of the fundraising efforts for the Bowen Family. Thank you to all of those who have sponsored the event thus far. More prizes were still coming in this afternoon so we will get recognition out to each of you ASAP!

We can & will add a noon as needed, but we do not presently have anyone registered for a noon session.
There is always the chance that someone signed up and we will potentially be able to accommodate a few more per heat by sharing equipment. So, please know that all are welcome we just ask for your patience & understanding as we work to make the event a success!
