Please join us on Saturday, July 20th from 9:00-11:00 at the Downtown Asheville Racquet Club’s outdoor pool for two awesome workouts! Participation in this event benefits an awesome cause, Asheville’s Infant Swim Resource Scholarship Fund!
ISR is a program dedicated to teaching children critical ISR Self-Rescue™ skills — giving children the competence and confidence to safely enjoy the water. ISR’s technique teaches babies from 6 months to 6 years of age how to save themselves if they were to end up in the water alone. Not only are children equipped with a life-saving skill, but they graduate the program with a sense of improved confidence and self-assurance.
You can bring your family, a friend or spouse to participate or come by yourself for this pool side extravaganza! One event is a fun obstacle course with various sized tires to climb through, short hill climbs, agility ladders & cones to navigate. The other event include swimming (shallow water only is an option at registration), burpees and slamballs (2-15lbs in weight for all abilities). Swimsuits or normal exercise clothing are appropriate for this event. There will be ~30 minutes between events to change attire as desired.
The goal is raise money for this great cause while getting families and individuals of all ages moving and experiencing FUN with FITNESS! There is no cost to register. Donations will be accepted at CFA the week of the 15th and on the day of the event. Proceeds from the event go towards funding more ISR (Infant Swimming Resource) scholarship students here in Asheville!
